You know what I find amusing?

This movie probably only survived due to cc fans, yet this whole movie was about shooting clocks...

ok...

Kudos to you my friend...

Although I agreed with the message of the tribute to animators, I agree with this one as well. Far too many people submit pointless stick movies and wonder why they aren't made into gods for it. Nice Job man.

Hmmm...

That's a pretty depressing view on the future. This flash left a bad taste in my mouth in that sense. The animation is decent and the art style is unique. The text (although it's not up long enough to read AND get a good look at the pictures) is colorful and well written. The music works very well towards the goal of depressing the hell out of me. Your kid in the beginning though looks too young. He drinks and has sex, but he doesn't look 18. The eerie thought that there's a pedophilia thing going on here bothers me, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and imagine that the boy was at least 18 years of age. Overall, I believe that if you're into this sort of thing this is a good flash and I advise others to watch it before passing judgement (regardless of the score I gave it). But for me, personally, the depression of it all makes me far too uncomfortable to enjoy it. Poor Suzy.

This sort of thing is not only cool, but inspiring

Dude, this was awesome. The animation was very fluid.. er... fluent (i always get confused with that word). Anyway, these technically aren't sticks. If you disagree, at least let me BELIEVE that these aren't sticks so I can allow myself to like it. This was, if you'll pardon the language, fuckin awesome. I'm a flash animator and I know how grueling it can be to make something of this quality. This is going on my favorites, no doubt. I personally think that the music really set the mood (except you should have had it cut out or fade out during the whole "screw ball" thing and then come back when the fighting started up again). My only complaint... Can you guess?... No plot. I know that's no big thing here on newgrounds, but I need a plot in order to WANT the hero to win. Otherwise, there is no hero and villain, only "stronger guy" and "weaker guy". But these are just suggestions, take them or leave them. Looking forward to the next one, keep it up!

Alright, please read my review...

Some reviewers say "that was good" and end it there, but I bring you... (drumroll)... Advice. Your drawing is pretty good, I like it. How old is this kid though? The "kid" looked at least 17 to me. If this is the intent, then okay, but if it's not then you should ask a few people how old they think he looks (he might only look 17 to ME, lol). I really like the typing text, but the background sound was a tad irritating. The trailer seemed to fall just a tad short of giving enough info though. One more thing, a lot of people will complain because your hero is a kid. Ignore them. If you make it work, it will work. These are just my suggestions though, take them for what they're worth.

CheveLoco responds:

Well thank you for all the advice, now i can start the first episode..and i have paid attention to the reviews...Sikes said it and it's now official..the boy is 17..lol...and about the robot being fulgore..well it wasnt my intention to make it look like him..but oh well..i'll try to finish the first episode as quick as i can..oh and last but not least..i plan to animate the movie frame by frame..and not use a lot of motion tweening...well thank you all for your reviews...

I like this flash!

Now that that's out of the way, here comes the critiquing (i butchered that spelling huh?). The sound went very well. I liked the bad guy's voice, but some of his lines were... Friendlyish. I think he'd work better as an evil villain instead of a comical villain. I was a bit shaky about the art style. Just looking at it I could tell it was gonna be motion tween city but somehow it didn't bother me in the battle. You did really well with that fight scene, people like you inspire me. But it was... short. I was just getting excited and getting into the battle and boom, she disappears. Drag your battles out. You may have to punish yourself a little and add an extra 200 frames to a fight that you wanted to end, but trust me when I say it's worth it when it's all said and done. This is just my opinion though, take it for what it's worth.

Baron-Fredrico responds:

Thanks for your review it's made me rethink alot of what I was going to do.
Firstly the bad guy is supposed to be evil but he's the kind of bad guy who is just doing everything for his enjoyment. He really doesn't give a crap. But I will try to make him more evil and make him quite nasty.
Secondly the next part will be devoted to two fights and thats it. So expect really long battles. I always find the battle end to short as well. No more though! I promise you all I will make the fights longer and better for part 2.
Anyway thanks for your review!

Hehe, the people looked funny...

This is cool. I noticed that my only two major complaints were addressed in the author comments. I can't give perfect scores to anything without a well thought out plot. It's nothing personal, that's just part of my judging... uh... criteria. Anyway, the animation is cool. I know that can take some dedication. I made a flash with a lot of animation and, well, it took effort. The matrix-ish thing seems more like your ripping off ideas than trying to stay familiar. I, personally, would suggest trying to be as original as possible. If you want to have "familiarity" go for a poster in the background or something. Again though, this is just my suggestion, you're the one in the driver seat and ultimately you'll have to decide how to handle your flashes and what crowd you want to appeal to. All and all, keep up the good work!

Kid heroes rule...

Here's my take on it... Oh, by the way, if you're on the verge of suicide or something you might not want to read this right now, cause I'm gonna be painfully honest. Your art is unique. Not necessarily the best I've seen but your style is... intriguing. Yes, the framerate is slow, work on that. The origin of Chris' powers is a little... Unlikely. I watch DBZ and I've been pissed off around electric sockets but the best I can do is static electricity. Use new music. You used this music twice, right? Don't overdo it... And I'll tell you this right now, and if you don't listen to any of the rest of my advice heed this little bit: DON'T GET TOO EAGER! Don't make a 20 second flash and say "Man, I gotta show this to newgrounds right now!" Be patient and make a flash that runs a while (if it's less than two minutes, I'll feel cheated and blam you without mercy, mwahahahaahahah!) But seriously, I love these sort of kid-gets-powers-and-uses-them- in-combat kinda anime-ish things. Akira is the greatest movie of all time.

w00t!

Fuck Osama, America Rulz.

Cameron Bright cannot be drawn by mortal hands. This is fact. I have tried and failed more times than I can count.
