Damn the anime craze

This was a great flash. I usually can't put up with British accents the whole way through (as Brits are always very mean to me when I talk to them online, I'm scarred), but this was a really creative work and very easy on the eyes. My only gripe is the kissing. Problem with lesbians you ask? Hell No! But the one scene that was supposed to make me prematurely ejaculate seemed like the only badly drawn picture of the girl. Her head was somewhat disproportioned and her mouth jutted out like a moose to meet her partner's also-jutting mouth. I shed tears there in the place of semen because the rest of your drawings of her were so sexy. Aside from killing my labido, very good job, I look forward to more of your works.

A few problems with this...

First off, isn't the Red Hood supposed to be Jason, Batman's second Robin? I don't remember the Joker Ever being the red hood. Of course you must realize how very short this is, and that would be my second problem with it. Lastly, the sound of the voices, they all sounded as though they were talking into tin cans. This isn't bad for what it was, but I truly think you should make the next one a bit longer.

My friend, in the mid 1980s The Killing Joke was written giving this story as the origin f the Joker. It was pretty much like the one written in the mid 60s with the red hood. In this years i think 2005 or 2004 a new Red Hood has been brought to life in the person of the before-dead Jason Todd, but thats a whole different dimension. Good point, but not related, thanx for the comment.

Not ANOTHER one...

What's with people and tracing nowadays? This was okay until I realized that part of it was a trace of a Jackie Chan movie and part of it was a trace of Shaolin Soccer, which means that most or all of it was probably a trace of something. I don't get why people trace stuff and change faces and then think they can call it their own work. At first I didn't know why this had such a low score, but now I'd bet that other people just noticed what I saw too.

Ack!!! This could have been so good!!!

This is very well written, in my opinion. Very much my type of story, and very entertaining. The music choices I think also were perfect for the spots they filled. Kudos to you as a writer, and voice actor (you did the main character right? that was very nicely acted and recorded).

Sadly though, that ends the praise section of my review. Everyone else seemed to be recorded in very bad quality and with little emotion on some of them. What was up with the driver guy? He seemed awfully excited.

Why did you have to make it sticks though? That was the one thing that totally killed this flash for me. They weren't even different colored sticks. I could have swore I saw both of his parents at his school (which, by the way, how come neither of his parents share his hair color? is he adopted?). And in the scene where he fought the other red haired stick they looked like twins, I couldn't tell who was winning for a lot of it. By far though, the most depressing aspect of witnessing you taking the easy way out of art, was the scene where he was reading the writing on the wall. There was a nice picture of a hand there and he ran his stump across the writing. You HAD to realize how bad that looked.

I wish you had put a little effort into making actual people or had an artist do it for you. This flash would have been number one on my favorites list and no doubt it would have been in the top 50. Alas, while this may be the best of the stick flashes I've seen, sticks can only be so impressive. Good luck on your future works.

Sorry if you're looking for graphic intensive animation, but I just like sticks. Sorry bout that, but thanks anyway. :D

Good art, bad everything else.

I didn't find this shocking really (then again, it takes A LOT to shock me), but the plot was very unclear. I thought that the girl was cutting herself because some people (such as her) enjoy the rush of bleeding. I assumed this due to the fact that she had been cut before several times judging by her scars.

When the teddy bear moved I thought that she was hallucinating from blood loss at first, but as the flash progressed I decided she must just be a little insane and that's what was causing this sight. Things fell apart for me however after the apparent murder of the little boy. I understood that she was hallucinating again and wasn't aware she killed the boy, at least not at first maybe, but then the mom comes upstairs and nothing is wrong.

So I thought that maybe she was just fantasizing about violence (i've been there myself) but then the violence seems to resume in much more than the imagination, and she jumps out a window? After the jump she's still bloody and all meaning that either it was all real or it was all fake and a lot of that clashes with itself.

Overall, it's way too confusing what happens or doesn't, so it's a bit hard for me to enjoy. I also hated that music a lot.

Well...

The art was nice. The animation was smooth. The sound was incredible. I know you don't want me to talk about the reason that I'm giving you a low score, I guess others have mentioned it a lot to you. Even so, I think you should realize that the most important part of virtually any flash is entertainment value, and your flash sort of lacks that due to...

That reason that we shan't talk about. Honestly this wasn't even long enough for me to get interested in the series. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but when I see something kickass, after it's over I can FEEL that I want to see more. This felt to me less like the start of a series and more like a practice session of a talented artist.

Please make the next one longer. And just a fyi, you claim that you knew the consequences and took the risk, well hearing complaints about the (extremely) short length is part of the consequences pal. You had to know it was going to be a problem, so why are you having such a hard time dealing with it?

I tried...

Please believe me when I say I tried to find entertainment in this but I could not. The plot, if there was one, evaded me. The music seemed repetitive. The art was alright, but the yellowish color scheme almost made me vomit (or maybe that was the strange black blood substance in this flash). Everything moved very slowly and sadly that wasn't from lag. The transitions were far too common and became less of a creative treat and more of a monotonous undertone. See how I use big words? Anyway, this is something for an art show or an experimental thing or something, but it lacks a lot in the entertainment area. I don't want to end my review on a bad note though, so... Happy Valentine's Day!

Good... But Sticky...

I truly hope you'll be making more movies. I also truly hope they won't be sticks. You seem very talented, but it's hard for me to get into a stick movie. As I said though, aside from the stick factor, your angles, effects, backgrounds, animation, you have a lot of talent. The voice recording was also amazingly clear. You could truly be an awesome artist, please don't waste it on sticks.

Why the 10 for humor?

Because the whole Ryu-matching-Ken thing. That's hilarious. Ken would (and in several different cartoon/anime versions of Street Fighter DOES) wipe the floor with Ryu. Ryu is good, but he's not on the level that Ken is. Didn't you see the episode where Ken not only kicked Ryu's ass, but then defeated Akuma (I'm honestly NOT making this up!!!). Ken is THE MAN. Making Ryu stand a chance... LOL, that's rich.

Why is this here?

This fails to make sense to me. This could have been simply a message post in the forums. I'll be honest, I didn't like Piconjo. All of his flashes seemed the same to me and he annoyed me. I never wished him dead, though I would have loved to hear that his computer died a horrible and agonizing death. Assuming that he is truly dead, this flash is a complete and utter pile of shit on his grave. Why, you ask? Because as I said, everything in this flash could have been in a forum thread.

Instead, you decided to attempt to get a cheap daily feature or something by sympathy votes. You can deny it up and down, but think about it. All this is is a bunch of text fading in and out, basically saying "Piconjo died after surgery, he loves you." and two pictures. I want you to look at this as if no one died, as if this is just a regular submission to Newgrounds. Now I ask you, do you honestly think that a bunch of fading text with two pictures, no plot, just a short message, deserves to even BE on this site? This has NO entertainment value, it is just a message telling us that he's gone. I can respect that a lot of people liked his stuff and found it funny and all. I didn't like it, but I am well aware that many did. But this isn't about that, this is barely about him at all, this is about you MARKETING his death.

This is not a flash, and the only reason it even survives is because people are voting high as a way of throwing flowers on a grave. You did this for your own personal score. Disgusting person that you are, you saw his passing not as a terrible tragedy, but as an opportunity. Some "close friend" you are. I sure hope I don't have any like you.

Cameron Bright cannot be drawn by mortal hands. This is fact. I have tried and failed more times than I can count.
